The legend says "Is there life after Deltics?" - apparently
there was even though the answer says "No"!!
Certainly there was no life for 55008 "THE GREEN HOWARDS", seen here at
Doncaster Works on the 27th February 1982, as its next port of call was the
scraplines, where it was broken up by August of the same year. One cab did
survive into preservation, privately owned for a short period before becoming
the property of the Deltic Preservation Society...
