On the 9th July 1980 the late running 1A37 10:45 York - King's Cross service was terminated at Newark Northgate, loco 55005 (D9005) "THE PRINCE OF WALES'S OWN REGIMENT OF YORKSHIRE" ran-round the stock, seen above, and departed 13:30 in the path of the 1L42 12:20 King's Cross - York service.
