13 -	To Doncaster Works - Unclassified repair. Collision and derailment damage to No.1 end. The nose superstructure at the left hand side was damaged and the left hand buffer had the face torn partly off. The air horn, footstep, lifeguards, sand pipes and blower louvres all needed to be repaired. Air-cooling pipe to the voltage regulator was fractured. The bogie had all wheels derailed and had to be drawn from the other locomotive - No.1 left hand side cab superstructure was repaired. No.1 bogie 1005 was examined and three new pairs of wheels were fitted. New buffer, sand pipe, and sand chute were fitted. Air horn and voltage regulator cooling pipe were repaired, as were the lifeguards and horn guard. The locomotive mileage was recorded as 25,640 since new.

No record of locomotive off works - though officially it remained at RSH until its Doncaster Works visit dated 28.02.62, however, several moves now exist in November and December 1961 and January 1962.
