55015 (D9015) "TULYAR" waits for departure at
Edinburgh Waverley on the 2nd July 1981 with the 1V93 09:50
service to Plymouth, which she would work as far as York. Usually
the locomotive working this service would stable centre road at
York and return at 14:35 with the 1S27 07:36 service from Plymouth - on this
occasion, however, No.15 was required at York for its 'D' examination.
Traces of white paint can be seen around No.15's cab windows
where newly applied blue has peeled - Finsbury Park painted out
the white cabs after losing the remaining allocation of Deltics
to York TMD at the end of May 1981.
