55015 (D9015) "TULYAR" at Finsbury Park on the 15th March 1981. The locomotive was undergoing a routine 'B' examination, had been cleaned and received painted nose ends in connection with the fitting of plaques to both marker panels denoting her taking part in the 150th anniversary of thr Rainhill Trials...

...Two days later on Tuesday 17th March 1981 the plaques were unveiled at Finsbury Park TMD by Mr. Neville G. Davies (Divisional Maintenance Engineer, King's Cross) in the presence of Mr. Alan Baker (Manager, Finsbury Park) and Mr. David Carter (Chairman, DPS). Following the ceremony 55015 workd the 1L42 12:20 King's Cross - York service.

The top section of the plaques had a black background whilst the lower was red - the inscription was as follows;
