On the 3rd May 1981 and with only days left in service 55012 (D9012) "CREPELLO" takes a Sunday rest at York TMD. Eleven days later she arrived at Finsbury Park for a 'C' exam, however, the decision to withdraw was taken instead and on the 18th May she became the 5th member of the class to be taken out of service - officially being withdrawn on the 31st May.
